What to expect

If we ever do get lost, simply knowing how to build a quick shelter, get drinkable water, stay dry, and stay warm cannot only make our adventurers safer, but it can raise the level of self-reliance and confidence in other walks of life. In short it makes us feel like we can and will handle anything our life throws at us.

This module is not just for those concerned with an unforeseen overnight in the woods, it is aimed at helping every person who has had a bad camping experience, or who is preparing to take their little adventurers out on their first overnight.

Our goal is to teach a comprehensive live Ultimate guide to camping with kids.

A few of the most popular items from this module are:

  1. The search and rescue style 7 trash bag shelter system

  2. How to tell when it is time to put up a shelter

  3. Where to put up a shelter

  4. How to make primitive shelters

  5. Staying warm in almost any environment

  6. Getting out of surprise weather

  7. Turning your overnight camping into a luxury experience

  8. And more

Each module is approximately 2 hours long and filled with real techniques taught in a fun family-oriented fashion.  One of our favorite things is when parents send us pictures of their adventurers teaching other new adventurers how to play these games in their own back yards.

Who is it for

Anyone who wants to improve their overnight camping or who spends time outdoors.  In Colorado, you are most likely to need to put up the quick bad weather shelter as you are to do any other skill.  Whether you use this module to outlast a quick hail storm, improve your overnight camp-outs, or just make your young adventurer more comfortable and self-reliant in the woods, this class is perfect for all outdoor people aging 5 and up.
