What to expect

There are so many amazing stories and facts about the plants around us, this is one of the most useful ways I have ever seen to get young adventurers interested in the world around them.

Mixing Plants, navigation, camping sites and tracks into a outdoor scavenger hunt has an amazing way of increasing every adventurers energy level and turning any walk or hike into an interactive adventure.

There is a curiosity in young adventurers about the world around them, it always amazes me just how much they can absorb about plants from their local environment. 

Who is it for

This class is aimed at wetting adventurers appetites for future study.  We touch on some of the most abundant plants, flowers, and trees in Colorado and point out some of the most interesting facts about them.  We do not eat any plants at this stage nor do we teach exactly how to make medicines from the plants.  Those are great skills to follow up with if you want at 90809890890809890, but right now we just want to gain the interest of our little adventurers.  Even the youngest adventurers seem to love this class, but for the most fun we recommend waiting to sign up until your adventurer is walking around the block unaided and is asking those wonder questions of why, why, why, what, who, why.
